01 — Client work: brand system, print, website, social and video ads
Crook Septic Service
A septic company in southwest Alabama that does installs, pump-outs and field-line repair. Since February 2026 I've rebuilt their identity from start to finish: the logos, yard sign, website, social posts and video ads.
The idea: be the friendly one
Septic work is something people put off because it's unpleasant and they're embarrassed to ask. So the brand leans into humor instead of hiding from it. The mascot, the bright pump truck and the tagline “We'll handle that” tell a homeowner they can call without feeling awkward. The badge is the version for shirts, hats and social posts.
One brand, three logo levels
A playful badge doesn't work on an invoice, so I built a system with three levels. The mascot badge is for merch and social posts. The CS monogram and wordmark are for professional use: letterhead, business cards and the website header. The small tank mark works at tiny sizes, like document corners. All three share one palette: field green #53811F, slate #514D49 and a blue accent #506692, with Parabolica Hairline for contact details.
Print that works in the field
Built to be read from the road and handed to customers on the job.
Social media
I plan and design the Facebook content as weekly content kits. The “Oops” series is one: four relatable “oh no” moments (a soggy yard, a sinking lawnmower, a mystery smell, a gurgling sink), each with a caption that turns the joke into the brand promise. The kit includes a shared visual style, hashtags and a posting schedule timed for when local homeowners are online.
Video ads
Short vertical commercials for Facebook and Instagram, edited in Premiere Pro with AI-generated footage. Each one sets up a small everyday story and lands on the brand's promise.
Merch
Crew shirt mockups: small CS mark on the chest, full badge on the back.
The website
I designed and launched crooksepticservices.com on Squarespace. It's built around one job: getting a worried homeowner to call or book. The phone number and a “Book now” button sit at the top, a gallery of real job-site photos builds trust, and hours and contact details sit in the footer.
